kaDAEAwa Bazaar Opens at DAEA’s 20th Founding Anniversary The Department of Agriculture Employees Association (DAEA) is commemorating its 20th founding anniversary. As part of the celebration, a kaDAEAwa bazaar offering a variety of goods and basic commodities is set up inside the DA main lobby from February 19 to 23, 2024.

The KADIWA Program, headed by Assistant Secretary Genevieve Velicaria-Guevarra, has extended invitations to partner farmers’ cooperative associations (FCAs), including those from the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC), as well as small business owners from NCR, CAR, and Regions 2, 3, and 5 to participate in the bazaar. This initiative provides a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises to market and promote their agricultural produce and other locally made products.

The one-week kaDAEAwa bazaar commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Francisco T. Laurel Jr., alongside other key officials of the DA.

“Today marks the 20th year of the Department of Agriculture Employees Association. Congratulations sa inyo at sana ay magpatuloy ang sama-sama nating paglilingkod,” Secretary Laurel Jr. stated in his message.

Established in 2004, DAEA has played a significant role in strengthening collective bargaining to advance and defend the rights and interests of employees, as well as in developing programs for the employees of the DA.
