The KADIWA ng Pangulo (KNP) of the national government is simultaneously taking place in Quezon City, Pateros, Pasig, Taguig, and Muntinlupa today, February 15.

KNP is part of the efforts of the government to ensure that farmers can sell their products directly to consumers. It is in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Earlier today, officials from various government agencies, personally visited the booths located in front of Quezon City Hall. Present were Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, DILG Usec. Odilon Pasaraba, DOLE Usec. Benjo Benavides, DTI Asec. Dominic Tolentino, DA-AMAS Director Junibert De Sagun, and DTI Regional Dir. Ma. Sofia Narag.

“Siyempre kami [Quezon City Hall] ay pabor na pabor at tuwang-tuwa sa inisyatibo ng ating pangulo na dapat ilapit sa taong-bayan ang mga serbisyo ng pamahalaan. Kadiwa is very commendable, kasi hindi lang pagkain, kundi mura at abot-kayang pagkain ang inilalapit natin sa ating mga mamamayan.” stated by Mayor Joy Belmonte.

The KNP will be open until tomorrow, February 16. Come and check out a variety of affordable, freshly picked fruits, veggies, and other farm-fresh goodies of our local farmers and small businesses. Don’t miss this opportunity to show your support to our local businesses!
